The reverse has a cancelled Victorian stamp attached with a W.D. 10 Liverpool postmark dated 8th May 189?, which I think belongs to a floating post office for steamer passengers. the card however shows no signs of being written or posted, so the stamp may have been added later? Gange 1269106 Gange Lloyd Triestino A company printed art postcard featuring the Gange. She was built in 1912 as the Kaiser Franz Josef I for Unione Austriaca. In 1919 she passed to Cosulich as the Presidente Wilson. She became the Gange for Lloyd Triestino in 1930. In 1936 she was renamed Marco Polo. The card must date from around 1930 as her original name Presidente Wilson has been overprinted at the bottom left edge on the reverse and her new name Gange added. Art is by Klodic.
