1340402 | Courier | A sepia printed postcard by T.B. Banks & Co, Guernsey, featuring the steamer Courier. She was built in 1883 and served the company from 1897 until she sank on 30th April 1906 after striking the Les Annon Rocks with the loss of 10 lives (the card was produced to mark her sinking). She was later raised and returned to service lasting until 1949. the card was postally used in guernsey in 1906. A little corner and edge wear and a couple of light surface creases / crinkles to the top left corner. Otherwise very light making to the front with a couple of tiny foxing spots. Very light marking / ageing to the reverse with a couple of very light foxing spots. (VG-) | £5.99 |
