Albionstar 1294801 Albionstar Blue Star Line A photo postcard featuring the Albionstar of 1919. She became the Albion Star in 1929. Pencilled note to the reverse states the photo was taken in the King George V Dock, London(?). Very light corner and edge wear. A little light surface marking to the front. Alcala 12889194 Alcala Royal Mail Steam Packet Co (RMSP) A company sepia printed postcard featuring the Alcala. She was built in 1912 as the Vauban for Lamport & Holt. She was chartered from Lamport & Holt by the RMSP in 1913 for less than a year and renamed Alcala. After the charter ended she reverted to the name Vauban and returned to Lamport & Holt service. Hence cards of her as the Alcala are quite scarce. Some corner and edge wear. A couple of light surface scratches from the aft mast to the right edge. Otherwise some marking to the front with some foxing dotting. Age toning / marking and some foxing marks / spots to the reverse. (G+) £3.99

Argentina Star 1308406 Argentina Star Blue Star Line A set of six photo postcards issued by the Blue Star Line featuring their ship Argentina Star of 1947. Complete with the original envelope with the ship name stamped on it. The first card shows a view of the ship and the remaining five show interior views of a Double Cabin, Smoking Room, Dining Saloon, Lounge and Games Deck. The card of the ship has a little extremely light marking to the front with sharp corners and clean to the reverse. The interior cards are clean both sides with sharp corners. the envelope is a little tatty and the flap on the reverse is torn from when it was opened. Cards are generally (EX) SOLD!

Avila was built in 1927 at John Brown, Clydebank - the photo was probably taken shortly after completion. She was renamed Avila Star in 1929. Very light corner and edge wear.
